SIGABA RELEASES UPGRADES TO INNOVATIVE SECURITY TECHNOLOGY

New enhancements offer superior features, security and manageability

San Mateo, Calif. – Sept. 20, 2006 – Sigaba, a leading provider of security software infrastructure and solutions, today announced new versions for two of its flagship products, Sigaba Secure Email 5.0 and Sigaba Secure Statements 5.0. With significant enhancements that include administrative manageability, higher security, additional standards-based certifications and enriched end-user functionality, the new products solidify Sigaba’s leadership position in secure information sharing solutions.

Just as operating systems enable applications to use system resources, Sigaba’s technology serves as a security operating system that enables applications to use authentication and encryption resources to secure data in motion. The company’s security solutions were designed to protect data created by, or traveling among, applications across the public domain, thereby improving access, authentication, security, and workflow while reducing operating costs.

New Enhancements Built on Strong Security Architecture

Sigaba Secure Email and Sigaba Secure Statements are two of the many solutions that integrate easily into SigabaNet™, which was built for the needs of customers to secure all data in motion.  New enhancements include:

  • Enhanced Manageability

o       Role-based administration for decentralized administration

o       Gateway LDAP support for simplified policy setup and administration

o       Simplified trust point management

  • Security and Certifications

o       Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and security library upgrade (same as NSA's Suite B algorithms specified for protecting SECRET and TOP SECRET information)

o       Common Criteria certification Level 2

o       FIPS certification (SHS, RNG, ECDSA) update

  • End-user Enhancements

o       Extended Vault™  for secure webmail pull functionality

o       Expanded SendAnywhere™ for push functionality

“These improvements were created with both the IT administrator and the end-user in mind,” said Lyall Vanatta, SVP of Marketing for Sigaba. “Our goal is to provide complete assurance and audit reporting so that all critical data sent over the Public Internet to colleagues, partners, and constituents get into the intended recipients hands securely and quickly. This is especially important in times of crisis situations and essential for our Nations first responders.”  Sigaba builds its highly scalable technology so that it is easy for governments and enterprises to deploy and enables customers “to securely communicate across disparate domains without the inherent complexity and manageability issues associated with PKI deployments” he added.
